This Privacy Policy explains how vector.ai ("we," "us," "our") handles information in connection with the Video Downloader: Save & Store Android application ("the App"). By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
The App lets users download videos from publicly accessible web links to their own device for personal, offline viewing. The App includes an automated filter that checks each link against known restrictions before allowing a download, and it does not permit downloads that are marked private, paywalled, DRM‑protected, or otherwise restricted by the source platform.
The App is a tool for saving content that a source has made publicly available. It is the user's responsibility to ensure they have the right to download and use any given video, including compliance with the source website's own Terms of Service and applicable copyright law. See Section 7 for our copyright policy.

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
Used on supported Android versions to save downloaded videos to your device's storage and let you access files you've downloaded. The App does not read, scan, or access any other files on your device.
We only request permissions that are necessary for the App's core downloading and playback functionality. We do not request location, contacts, microphone, camera, or SMS permissions.
The App does not require account creation, sign-up, or login of any kind.
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or contacts.
Downloaded videos are saved only to local storage on your device. We do not upload, transmit, host, or store copies of your downloaded videos or the links you download on our servers.
Like most free apps, we use third-party services that may automatically collect certain technical information to keep the App running, measure performance, and show ads. This may include:
Device information (device model, OS version, language, screen size)
App usage data (screens viewed, features used, session length)
Crash logs and diagnostic data
Approximate IP-based location (country/region level, for ad relevance)
This data is collected by the third parties listed below, under their own privacy policies — we do not separately store or sell this data ourselves.

Aggregated, anonymized usage analytics to understand feature usage and improve the App.
Firebase Crashlytics
Collects crash reports and diagnostic logs to help us fix bugs.

We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not use any collected data for purposes unrelated to operating and improving the App.
We only share data with the third-party service providers listed in Section 4, strictly for the purposes described above. We do not share data with any other third party, and we do not sell user data.
The App is intended only for downloading content that the rights holder has made publicly available for personal use, or content you own or have permission to download. The App is not intended to facilitate copyright infringement, and we actively filter out links that are restricted, private, or protected.

Downloaded videos remain on your device until you delete them; we have no access to or copy of them. Analytics and crash data are retained by our third-party providers according to their own retention schedules (typically up to 14 months for Firebase/Google Analytics data), after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Downloaded files stay within your device's app-scoped or shared storage, protected by standard Android OS security. Any data transmitted to third-party SDKs (Section 4) is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
The App is intended for a general audience aged 13 and above and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
You can delete any downloaded video at any time directly from your device or the App's library.
You can uninstall the App at any time, which removes all locally stored App data from your device (downloaded videos in shared storage may persist unless deleted separately).
Depending on your region (e.g. EU/UK — GDPR, California — CCPA), you may have rights to request access to, or deletion of, data held by our third-party providers. Since we do not hold personal data on our own servers, such requests are best directed to Google via the link in Section 4, or to us at the email below and we will assist.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. The "Effective date" at the top will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
