Videocon Industries Limited is an Indian multinational conglomerate, headquartered in Mumbai.[3] The company was founded in 1979, by Venugopal Dhoot. The group had 17 manufacturing sites in India and plants in Mainland China, Poland, Italy and Mexico. It was the third largest picture tube manufacturer in the world[4] valued at US$5.5 billion.[5]
In 1985, Aurangabad based Nandlal Madhavlal Dhoot founded and incorporated Videocon International with a goal of manufacturing 1 lakh TV sets per year. "Videocon became the first company to bring colour TVs in India," claims Anirudh Dhoot, the founder's grandson (Venugopal Dhoot's son) and Videocon's current director.[7]

In India, the group sold consumer products like colour televisions, washing machines, air conditioners, refrigerators, microwave ovens and many other home appliances, through a multi-brand strategy with the largest sales and service network in India.
Since the entry of Korean Chaebols and their rising popularity in the Indian market, Videocon from a stand-point of market leader has seen a slow decline to become a no. 3 player in India. The company continued to do well in the washing machine and refrigerator segment.[8]

Videocon acquired the colour picture tube (CPT) businesses from Thomson S.A. of France having manufacturing facilities in Poland, Italy, Mexico and China along with support research and development facilities in the fiscal year 2005.[14][15]
On 4 October 2018, Chanda Kochhar, the ex MD and CEO of ICICI Bank had to step down from her position following allegations of corruption in sanctioning loans to Videocon.[17] Amidst investigations related to Videocon bad loans, she was forced by the board of ICICI Bank to take indefinite leave. The Central Bureau of Investigation named Chanda Kochhar and her husband Deepak Kochhar as beneficiaries in the financial fraud between June 2009 and October 2011. Venugopal Dhoot, the promoter of Videocon had fraudulently transferred part of the loan received from ICICI Bank to the Kochhars' business entreprise[18] after Chanda Kochhar, Sandeep Bakhshi became the full time Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Bank.[17][19]
This is to inform you that I have registered a complaint for my refrigerator the the behaviour of techinician was very bad .instead of so many reminders he came when I said there is a problem in compressor he took away the pcv and charged me 2620 rs .but after that also refrigerator was not working. and he is asking me for more money to change the compressor which is in warranty.

Its very unfortunate to write this kind of mail but no option available with me as two times your executive visited for complaint,On first visit technician broke the lock of my washing machine.After some days again problem came.
The Executive taken the PCB for repair and committed to get it repaired in two days,Now that tech is not picking our calls.
As a customer we are feeling helpless due to poor response from customer care and the technician who has taken my part.

I gave a complaint about my 32 inch videocon TV in costumer care. My TV was in warranty but then after they told that TV was not in warranty. And the man who is so called technician he didn't even ever care about it. He call once and then told that was your duty to me back. Rubbish technician. The service is useless.
Do not take any product of Videocon, their service is very useless. I have done my complaint on 18 July 2020 but till now my air condition has not been fixed. I mailed several times but there was no reply to them. And today our air condition is going to be spoiled for a month. But nothing has happened to my complaint yet. I have seen the worst customer service in my entire life, I would request you to please look into my TV display complaint.
I have dropped various emails on customercare [at] vgmail [dot] in but none of them have responded back.
I purchased LED Videocon TV on 30/10/2016 with 5 Years warranty. but unfortunately speakers has stopped working. I registered the complaint on 11th dec 2019 engineer visited and said a part of it is not working properly and it need to be changed. we called them so many times but they are telling the consult technician will arrive with in 24 hour or 48 hour but non of them had came.
This company gives the worst service I have ever seen, I will never suggest any one to buy any Videocon product.

I complained about speaker which is still in warranty period. they said speakers are not covered. Better to go with local person instead of waiting for the so called videocon service. One of the worst service you will get from them. Don't waste time on them..

I had purchase a LED TV of 40 inch of videocon on May 2015. company given me 5 yr warranty. when tv stopped sound i had a complaint. service engineer will charge 500/- and when he come again for repair my speaker after the speaker repair my TV screen panel is damage. he want me extra 500/- extra for lodge a complaint on customer care. when I self lodge a complaint against him customer care is said me that u couln't have to paid any fee. after thar they both closed my complaint. when i call customer care for asking about my complaint. they said we closed your request for denied to service charge paid.
