Filmmaker's Dictionary is an ever growing reference of film industry terminology that will expand over time. This app is great for people who are new to the film industry and looking to get a leg up. The film industry uses a myriad of terminology that is specific to this industry and it can be confusing when you are first getting started in the business. Even seasoned professionals may find some terms that surprise them.

Privacy Policy

Filmmaker's Dictionary data (the dictionary of terms) is stored in a public CloudKit database which is visible to all users of the app. The app does not collect information from users, however any terms that are submitted by users to be added to the dictionary or suggested edits to terms are reviewed by the apps developer and if approved are added entirely or in part to the dictionary.

Term Submissions & Suggested Edits

Users who chose to submit new terms or suggest edits to existing terms are granting The Film Dictionary and it's assigns a perpetual and irrevocable license to use the contributed term, definition, description, synonyms, abbreviations, and image they have submitted or uploaded into the app throughout the universe in perpetuity. User warrants that if they have uploaded an image it is their own and they have all rights to the image. User further is granting The Film Dictionary and it's assigns unlimited rights to use, sell, edit, market, and monetize, the words and images they submit through the app.
