Privacy Policy for Video Compressor - reduce
Last Updated: 2 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Video Compressor – Reduce (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you use our iOS application.
The App performs video compression locally on your device. It does not require an account and does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or payment-card information.
The App uses limited third-party services for in-app purchases, subscription management, and cross-promotion advertising. These services are described below.
Videos selected for compression are processed locally on your device.
We do not upload your videos, compressed videos, thumbnails, filenames, or video contents to our servers or to RevenueCat or Kickstart Exchange.
The App may temporarily copy a selected video into its private local storage while performing a compression task. Temporary files are deleted after processing or during automatic cleanup.
Compressed videos and compression history remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App.
The App stores certain information locally on your device, including:
App appearance and onboarding preferences
The number of free compressions completed during the current day
Compression history and technical details about completed compressions
Locally saved compressed video files
Subscription and entitlement information cached by the purchase SDK
This local information is used only to provide App functionality. It is not uploaded by us as video content or used to track you across apps or websites.
The App uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases, subscriptions, purchase restoration, and access to Pro features.
RevenueCat may process information necessary to provide these services, including:
Purchase and subscription history
Apple transaction or receipt information
Subscription status and entitlement information
An anonymous RevenueCat-generated App User ID
App version, device type, operating system, locale, and currency information
The last time the App communicated with RevenueCat
We do not provide RevenueCat with your name, email address, phone number, advertising identifier, or a custom account identifier.
RevenueCat uses purchase information for App functionality, fraud prevention, entitlement verification, subscription analytics, and aggregated reporting. RevenueCat does not inherently use this information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.
Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment-card number, bank-account details, or Apple Account password.
RevenueCat’s privacy policy is available at:

Free users may see cross-promotion advertisements for other apps through Kickstart Exchange. Pro users do not see these advertisements.
Kickstart Exchange may process limited app-level information necessary to request, display, protect, and measure these advertisements, including:
The App’s bundle identifier
App version and build version
Platform and Kickstart SDK version
The App Store storefront country
App-level advertisement impressions and clicks
Advertisement reports submitted through the advertisement’s report button
Kickstart Exchange records advertisement impressions and clicks at the app level. These interactions are not associated with a specific person or device.
In production builds, Kickstart Exchange may receive a locally verified, Apple-signed App Transaction to confirm that the request comes from the registered production App. Kickstart Exchange processes this transaction only long enough to perform that verification and states that it immediately discards it without retaining, hashing, logging, correlating, targeting with, or analyzing its stable transaction or device-verification values.
Kickstart Exchange does not use an advertising identifier, track users or devices across apps or websites, or create behavioral advertising profiles.
Network requests to Kickstart Exchange pass through Cloudflare, which processes the connecting IP address as part of delivering and securing network traffic. Kickstart Exchange states that it does not store IP addresses or use them to identify users.
Kickstart Exchange’s privacy notice is available at:
https://exchange.kickstart.tools/privacy
The App may request the following permissions strictly to provide its features.
Photos access is used only to:
Allow you to select videos for compression
Save compressed videos to your Photos library when you request it
The App does not access photos or videos without your action. Selected videos are processed locally and are not uploaded to our servers or third-party advertising and subscription services.
You can manage Photos permissions at any time in your device’s Settings app.
Notifications are optional and are used to tell you when a video compression task has completed.
The App uses local notifications for this purpose. Notification content is generated on your device.
You can disable notifications at any time in your device’s Settings app.
The App may display compression progress through a Live Activity on the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island.
Compression progress displayed through these features is generated and handled locally on your device. Video contents are not transmitted through Live Activities or widgets.
The limited information described in this policy is used to:
Compress videos and save the results you request
Maintain local compression history
Enforce the daily free-compression allowance
Process and restore purchases
Determine whether Pro features should be available
Display cross-promotion advertisements to free users
Measure app-level advertisement impressions and clicks
Prevent fraud and protect the App and its services
Provide aggregated purchase, subscription, and advertising analytics
Respond to support requests
We do not use your videos for advertising, analytics, artificial intelligence training, or profiling.
The App does not use Apple’s advertising identifier, does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
We do not sell your personal information.
Kickstart Exchange advertisements are not behaviorally targeted to an identified user or device.
We share limited information only with service providers needed to operate the App:
Apple, for App Store purchases, StoreKit transactions, Photos access, notifications, and other iOS platform services
RevenueCat, for purchase processing, subscription management, entitlement verification, fraud prevention, and subscription analytics
Kickstart Exchange, for cross-promotion advertisements, app-level advertisement measurement, and production-app verification
Cloudflare, as Kickstart Exchange’s network, security, and content-delivery provider
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Apple’s privacy policy is available at:

Videos, compressed files, daily usage counts, preferences, and compression history stored by the App remain on your device until they are deleted through the App, removed by automatic local cleanup, or deleted when you uninstall the App.
RevenueCat retains purchase and subscription information according to its agreements, legal obligations, and retention policies.
Kickstart Exchange states that app-level advertisement delivery and interaction records are generally retained for approximately 30 days. Aggregated daily app-to-app statistics may be retained without a fixed deletion date. These records do not identify individual users or devices.
The App may open external pages, including our privacy policy, terms, support email, App Store review page, advertised App Store product pages, and Apple’s subscription-management interface.
Once you leave the App, the privacy practices of the destination service apply. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party websites or other apps.
The App is not directed specifically at children under 13.
We do not knowingly request or collect names, email addresses, contact details, precise locations, advertising identifiers, or video contents from children.
The limited purchase and advertisement data described in this policy may be processed when the App is used, regardless of the user’s age. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, please contact us so that we can review and address the request.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information handled through the App.
Video processing and compression history are kept locally on the device. Communications with RevenueCat, Kickstart Exchange, Apple, and their service providers use secure network connections provided by those services.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
