Victor Tikhanov is a Melbourne/Naarm based filmmaker, working as a Director, Cinematographer & Gaffer. He has sought to create stories he is truly passionate about, whether at the helm or through a lens.
As a kid, he spent years going to the theatre, reading books, drawing, and of course, watching movies. But it wasn't until 2015, after watching James Cameron's Terminator 2 (1991), that he decided to pursue filmmaking as a career path. As many do, he started by making his own short films, gathering his friends and trying to tell stories with a dash of creativity and fun. With each new short, he honed his craft and learnt new skills, telling better stories with each passing project. It eventually led him to where he is now, undertaking various other projects, including music videos, commercials, television series & lots of narrative work (both shorts and features).
It's through these projects that he's had the fortune of meeting wonderful collaborators, and also what allowed him to grow a further affinity for directing, cinematography, gaffing & photography. Having recently graduated Deakin University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Film, Television & Animation (with distinction), he now looks to collaborate and work with others to craft stories, hoping to find a long and fruitful career in the film and television industry.
