I developed engaging digital content for middle school science to enhance the learning experience. This included creating character images, crafting storylines, and designing interactive content that aligned with and reinforced the printed chapter's learning objectives. Additionally, I designed extension activities to deepen students' understanding of key concepts, ensuring a comprehensive and interactive approach to the subject matter.
I analyzed decodable readers to identify weaknesses and clarify learning goals for the target audience. Based on ELA learning objectives, I designed a new scope and sequence, developing layouts, templates, graphic styles, and character backgrounds for both printed books and digital content. I also created prototypes to ensure consistency across formats and implemented training and procedures for the effective delivery of the print product.
Instructional Design coaching
I worked closely with subject matter experts to provide instructional design coaching for Grade 1 math lessons, ensuring the content was aligned with learning objectives, educationally sound, and age-appropriate. I helped refine the lessons to meet both pedagogical standards and the needs of young learners. Additionally, I created age-appropriate images using Adobe Illustrator to visually support each lesson and enhance student engagement.
Instructional Design & Graphic Design
I combined my skills in instructional design and graphic design to develop layouts, logos, and templates for middle school social studies worktexts, instructor guides, and assessment booklets. I managed the PDF production of the project from start to finish, including hiring and overseeing graphic designers. In collaboration with instructional design coaches, I ensured that images, content, and assessments aligned with learning goals and best practices. I also handled the pagination for the books, ensuring a seamless and organized final product.
