Karate Club Policies

Club Policies - risks warning

Due to the nature of the art, during the course of training and or competition, a certain amount of physical contact will occur with other participants and/or instructors. Although the safety and well being of each and every participant is always paramount with us, you should be aware of the possibility of injury. At any time, should the participant believe that a particular exercise and/or technique would cause an injury to himself/herself or other participants, he/she should stop at once and notify the instructor immediately - and any participant can bow off and leave at any time. Participants are also required to abide by the typical martial arts norms in terms of respect towards Dojo, Sensei and Sempai. Breaches of this - including not abiding by instruction, dangerous play of any kind, the use of inappropriate language or refusal to participate - will result in expulsion from the club, with full control of any decision making of attendance lying only with the Sensei and club directors.
