Rodrigo Passos Fernandes

Rodrigo has a degree in Environmental Science from the Ceará Federal University (UFC) and a Master's Degree in Remote Sensing from the Rio Grande do Sul Federal University (UFRGS). He is currently a PhD student in Geography at Paraiba Federal University (UFPB). He is working with land surface temperature obtained from remote sensing data to understand surface urban heat islands.

Pâmela Boelter Herrmann

Bachelor's in Environmental Management from the Rio Grande do Sul State University (UERGS). She holds a master's degree in Remote Sensing from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Brazil, and she is now a PhD student.

João Vitor da Silva Brito

João Vitor holds a degree in Agroindustrial Technology from the Federal Institute of Bahia (IFBA). He has a master's degree in Environmental Sciences and Technologies, specializing in Natural Systems Studies, from the Federal University of Southern Bahia (UFSB) in partnership with IFBA. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Environmental Science and Technology at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC), in the area of ​​Environmental Systems.

Alan Yago Barbosa de Lima

Bachelor of Agronomy from the Federal University of Pelotas, Master in Business Administration (MBA) in Agribusiness Management at Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (Esalq) of the University of São Paulo (USP). Master of Science degree in Environmental Science and Technology from the Federal University of ABC, specializing in Agricultural Climatology, in the field of Exact and Earth Sciences. My research has focused on the climate's influence on food security and agriculture. 

Mateus Luiz Demarchi

Mateus holds a degree in Environmental and Urban Engineering (2024) and a degree in Science and Technology (2023) from the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Environmental Science and Technology at the same university. His research focuses on the relationship between Local Climate Zones and Urban Heat Islands in the ABC Paulista region.

Douglas de Sousa Leite

Douglas is a multidisciplinary engineer specializing in urban, environmental, occupational safety, and aerospace engineering, currently pursuing a master's in Environmental Science and Technology while conducting research on landslide risk assessment in São Paulo Metropolitan Region, integrating engineering innovation, geospatial analysis, and disaster prevention to develop sustainable solutions for resilient urban environments.

Urban and Regional Planner specializing in GIS-based Development Planning, having 5+ years of experience in water and sanitation planning, execution, and Capacity building, Behavioural Change Communication, with a focus on Participatory and evidence-based data-driven decision making.  Driven to contribute towards building inclusive, resilient & sustainable communities.

Rebeka Silva Coelho

Urban Forestry Specialist, with a degree in Environmental and Urban Engineering and Science and Technology. I have experience in assessing individual trees and environmental licensing. I am currently a Master's student at UFABC, researching the contribution of urban forestry to mitigating urban heat islands.

Rafael Costa e Silva

PhD student in the Graduate Program in Environmental Science and Technology (PGCTA) (expected graduation: 2029), holding a Master’s degree in Territorial Planning and Management (2022), a Bachelor’s degree in Territorial Planning (2020), and a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities and Social Sciences (2018), all from the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). Member of the Risk Management Laboratory research group at the Federal University of ABC (LabGRis – UFABC). Research interests include urban and regional planning, housing, urban conflicts, land tenure regularization, agrarian issues, urban issues, social movements, the social construction of risk, and socio-environmental risk management. 

Fernanda Henrique de Souza

Fernanda Henrique de Souza holds a degree in Environmental and Urban Engineering (2024) from the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Environmental Science and Technology at the same university. Her research focuses on the operational planning of municipal solid waste collection. Her academic and professional interests focus on environmental data analysis, geoprocessing, and their applications to urban cleaning operations and planning.

Gabriel Olivieri

Gabriel holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (2024) and Science and Technology (2022) from the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Environmental Science and Technology at the same university, with research focused on geoprocessing and the assessment of ecosystem services in watershed areas.

Bianca Suriano F. dos Santos

Environmental and Urban Engineering undergraduate and holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Technology from the Federal University of ABC (UFABC), with experience in the energy sector. My academic and professional interests focus on environmental data analysis, geoprocessing, and applying quantitative methods to support decision-making in infrastructure and sustainability projects.

Fátima Almeida Mouro

Fátima has a Bachelor of Science and Technology from the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) and intends to continue his degree in Environmental and Urban Engineering at the same university. His current line of research focuses on analyzing remote-sensing environmental spectral indices around landfills in São Paulo state.

Bruna Leticia Barreto Barbosa

Bruna has a bachelor's degree in Science and Technology, with plans to pursue higher education in Environmental and Urban Engineering and Aerospace Engineering from the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). Currently, she works as a scientific initiation fellow in a Remote Sensing research line, focusing on the spatiotemporal monitoring of Urban Heat Islands related to Land Use and Cover in the São Paulo Metropolitan Region, using MODIS imagery.

Julio César B. de Oliveira Sampaio

Julio has a bachelor's degree in Science and Technology and is an undergraduate in Computer Science at the Federal University of ABC. He is currently pursuing research in the fields of Convolutional Neural Networks and Remote Sensing. Develops open-source software both independently and as a member of the Project Neon robotics team.

Igor Santos Botelho

Igor has a bachelor's degree in Science and Technology and is an undergraduate in Aerospace Engineering at the Federal University of ABC. He is currently conducting research in Machine Learning, focusing on tree-based models (Random Forest and XGBoost) with Remote Sensing data. 

Felipe dos Santos Mineiro

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Science and Technology at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC), and intends to obtain a degree in Environmental and Urban Engineering from the same university. He is currently working on a scientific initiation in remote sensing to analyze the impacts of heat islands on favelas in São Paulo. His interests include environmental justice, the impacts of climate change, and land use and land cover.
