This all started because my mom asked me to make a jewelry box for my sister. She wears a lot of rings and would be guaranteed to use this box. My Mom sent me the design below for inspiration, and I got to work modeling on Fusion 360.
This design I came up with is more or less an exact copy of the Lion Latch, but just taller to allow for more jewelry to fit inside. I admit it is a simple design, but throughout the design process, I experimented a lot with the tolerances and eventually figured out how big to make each component so that they fit together properly.Â
I printed the design and put it together. My sister loved using it so much that my mom recommended I make more for my family members to give out during Christmas. I added each of their initials at the top for personalization. I hope they use them, but if not, it was still a fun project that I know one person found useful.
