victor was born to the royal house of savoy. his family welcomed their first son and heir and spent much of their time conferring to the spoilt kid the fact that he would be very important in the future. every attention they could offer him was poured upon him, and he quickly learned that what he most wanted would be given easily enough. when his father however learned of his growing ego, he put to a stop to it, changing the boy's life almost immediately. Suddenly he was asked to do more, even as a child, sent on errands, encouraged to work in the gardens, to be healthy and active and come to enjoy the products of work. by the point he went to school he was well known and well liked as a positive, smart and active young prince.

His early schooling was a bit more difficult than his parents would have liked, as victor never managed to sit still in classes, easily distracted by the sounds and the movements and the colors and lights outside the windows. His teachers, with eternal respect, noted that he might have some level of clinical distraction, however his father insisted that he needed only more time and attention of the right kind. Victor thinks back on those early days fondly with his father taking time out of his busy schedule to help him master the work and have the same level of prestige off the field as on it.

He was encouraged to take part in all things, football, dancing, social studied, debate, travel, art, history, poetry and more. Over teh first few years as a teen he curated his likes and dislikes - learning that he loves languages, loves culture, loves movies and - most of all - loved being busy. Running, swimming, cycling - all of it brought him great peace. And nothing more so than when he got his first racer. Before he was seventeen he was touted as a future master. His father resisted - but in finding that even the mundane acts of school work and admin being done so long as he got to race, admitted that the boy had a passion. passion enough to consider it a crime in not allowing its exploration.

On his 21st birthday he would be tkaing his first f1 race. He won. He finished the series. He finished well. He quit the year later. Many people wondered at it, and questioned his sudden shift. He made it known that he had done what he wanted - but needed to think on the future. And racing was too dangerous. It convinced some, but his redirection of energies into mountaineering and biking showed to some that there was another reason. Some assumed that he just did not want to lose again. ANd it was true - he did not.

Over the years he has become a public face of the family. Kind, passionate and eternally optimistic he has pushed for health directed operations in schools and his desire to see the country be active and alive. his clear pride in all they do - the cars, the food, the architecture, the history, the art, the music - all of it so very precious to him, has had him push for their place in the world. Encouraging open dialogues and understanding, the sharing of culture he has enjoyed much of his life - while ever worrying whether whatever he was doing would be worth it in the end.
