My name is Vicenza Galioto, but I am called Vicki.  I am originally from upstate New York, but I am currently living in North Florida after living in South Florida for 26 years. I enjoy living in North Florida, as we have seasons, but no snow!

I have two sons, Kyle, age 26, and Luke, age 23. My oldest is here in North Florida, but my youngest is in Texas, although trying to move back to Florida. I am thankful for my boys as they support me in all of my endeavors and cheer me on!

I have been a teacher for almost ten years, and most recently, as a virtual teacher. I teach high school Intensive Reading and English. When making the switch from brick-and-mortar teaching to virtual teaching, I was concerned about being able to make connections with the students. I have found that is not difficult to make connections with the students, even in a virtual environment.

I am currently working on a master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology. My goal is to use this knowledge to improve my classroom, but also to create new and exciting curriculum to better engage students in classrooms, and virtually. Teaching virtually, I see where there is room for improvement in the learning management system that is being implemented at our school.

My hobbies include going to the beach, reading, and exploring. I do like to go mudding in my Jeep Wrangler and there are a few state and national parks nearby that I like to explore. I have included a few interesting photos I have taken.
