Privacy Policy — ViceCodex. Last updated: June 17, 2026.
1. Information We Collect. We do not require account creation. We identify your device using an anonymous randomly generated device ID stored locally on your device. We collect: anonymous device ID, display name chosen by you for the leaderboard, gameplay data (scores, accuracy, rounds reached), platform preference (PS5 or Xbox), and language preference. We do NOT collect your real name, email address, phone number, location data, or any personally identifiable information.
2. Third-Party Services. Our app uses the following third-party services that may collect data according to their own privacy policies. Google AdMob displays interstitial and rewarded ads and may collect device identifiers for ad personalization (policies.google.com/privacy). RevenueCat processes purchases and manages entitlements (revenuecat.com/privacy). Supabase stores leaderboard scores and app configuration — only anonymous device IDs and display names are stored, no personal information (supabase.com/privacy).
3. How We Use Your Data. We use collected data to display your scores on the leaderboard, save your preferences between sessions, improve app performance and gameplay, and show advertisements.
4. Advertising. ViceCodex displays ads provided by Google AdMob. These ads may be personalized based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising / Android: Settings → Google → Ads). If you purchase Remove Ads, all ads are permanently removed including interstitial and rewarded ads.
5. In-App Purchases. Remove Ads is a one-time non-consumable purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You can restore your purchases at any time from the Settings screen.
6. Virtual Currency. The in-game dollar ($) is a virtual currency with no real monetary value. It cannot be exchanged for real money or transferred outside the app.
7. Children. ViceCodex is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Data Retention. Leaderboard scores are retained for the duration of weekly competitions then archived. Local data is stored on your device and deleted when you uninstall the app.
9. Your Rights. You may request deletion of your leaderboard data by contacting us with your display name. We will process your request within 30 days.
10. Changes. We may update this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
