”I grew up in a financially secure home, but generational trauma and alcohol left me feeling unsafe and alone. I learned young how to carry pain by myself, and I developed ways of coping that were really ways of numbing. I was diagnosed with ADHD and depression as a child. In the years that followed came suicide attempts, hospitalizations, and more diagnoses, including bipolar disorder, BPD, and anorexia, along with a deep belief that something was wrong with me. Alcohol became my escape, until two DUIs and a newborn son showed me it had become unmanageable.
I got sober over eight years ago and began the work of healing. Through IOP, C-PTSD therapy, EMDR, and DBT, I started peeling back layers of trauma and conditioning I hadn’t even known I was carrying. With each layer, I found more of the light that had been concealed for decades.
But healing isn’t a straight line. When my fiancé became addicted to alcohol and drugs during COVID, I ended my engagement weeks before our wedding. I felt my life unraveling all over again. My old numbing patterns resurfaced, and my anorexia spiraled out of control. I stepped away from my life for six months of inpatient treatment. For the first time, I slowed down enough to do the shadow work, meditate, learn Tai Chi, try acupuncture, and do intensive family therapy, nourishing my soul in the ways it had been craving for years. I left with a vow: I will not spend one moment of my life just feeling “okay.” I want to feel all of it, the pain and the joy, at its fullest.
Life still had one more lesson. The benzodiazepines I’d been prescribed during treatment had quietly become another way of numbing, and I stayed on them for years. In 2024, with the help of a psychiatrist who truly cared, I tapered off for good. It was physically brutal, and I asked myself how I, a recovering alcoholic, had ended up here. But on the other side, I found a faith I’d never known: trust in the universe without fear and without the need to control where it leads.
That’s when my purpose finally became clear, the one that had been there all along beneath the fear, conditioning, and ego.
I am here to help you uncover your light and move through the fire of suffering without being burned by it.”
