Mariano Dellarole

Mariano studied biology at Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he also obtained his PhD in chemical biology in 2010 with researches carried out at FIL. He was a post-doc at the CBS in Montpellier and also at the IP in Paris, before he started his own lab at CIBION in 2020. His main interest is currently in understanding viral maturation and protein homeostasis in blood using thermodynamics and high-resolution biophysical techniques.

Felipe Agosti

Feli, is performing his BA in Bioinformatics at the Argentine University of Enterprise. He is writing a program to interpret human serum thermograms.

Facundo Gallo

Facu studied Chemistry at Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he is a PhD student in chemical biology. He is a CONICET fellow jointly directed with Mariela Bollini, CIBION. His main interest is currently in studying the surface of endemic enveloped viruses to design mimicry-based antivirals.

Valentina Toledo

Valen, is performing her BA in Biotechnology at the Argentine University of Enterprise. Her project is working in biochemistry of glyproteins in order to desing stronger antigens and understand flavivrus maturation.

Micaela Bulacio

Mica, is performing her BA in Biotechnology at the Argentine University of Enterprise. She is exploring the of thermograms to discriminate different deseases, from thermal liquid biopsy to thermal perturbation of infectious deseases.

Brisa Parra

Brisa is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at the Argentine University of Enterprise. Her research focuses on the biochemistry and biophysics of Zika virus envelope proteins, with an emphasis on protein structure and function.

Abril Makar

Abril, is performing her BA in Biotechnology at the Argentine University of Enterprise. She is exploring the effects of protein homeostasis in human serum from patients infected with dengue and chikungunya virus by thermal unfolding analysis.

With Alejandra Morales from the National Reference Department in research and diagnostics of the INEVH institute, we are developping a reaction-less technology for the detection and prognosis of dengue.

Alphavirus

With Gonzalo Moratorio and Pilar Moreno from the Experimental Evolution of Viruses, at IP Montevideo and UdelaR, we are focused into understanding how we can design a Mayaro virus mRNA vaccine.

Pestivirus

With Gleyder Sosa, Hannover, Germany, and soon in the US. have we are studying monoclonal antibodies against chimeric variants of BVDV glycoproteins.

Coronavirus

With people from CIOP (UNLP) and FI (UBA) we formed a consortium to hack a fluorescence high resolution equipment in order to monitor molecular beacon FRET signal for direct COVID-19 diagnostics .

Tobias Ledesma

Toby, got his BA in Biotechnology and BA in Bioinformatics in the lab from the Argentine University of Enterprise. He was in putting hands on Biophysics techniques such as Differential Scanning Calorimetry to study the effects of complex protein mixtures in Non Transmisible Deseases. While looking to move to Cryo-EM and viral glycoproteins for developing his PhD he entered in ZS.com company to work as consultant in Bionformatics.

Yanina Godoy

Yany studied Pharmacology at Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. She works in ANMAT and she got her Master 2 in Biotechnology Processes from National Technological University in late 2024. Her main interest in the lab were studying how serum thermograms are perturbed during arbovirirosis and to address its potential use in diagnostics. She continues from now on on ANMAT.
