Used to be able to use a gpu_blacklist.json file to get round the crashing of viber on pc, by disabling hardware acceleration. Updated viber today and noticed it didnt ask to overwrite gpu_blacklist.json, then noticed all the weird refreshing and glitchyness in the UI before eventually it did crash. Now it wont even stay open more than a second or so before crashing - even if i remove the gpu_blacklist.json - although I suspect they removed the option to use this. Either way Viber on PC is broken.

I am running a Windows 10 VM, and have all applications installed that I use daily, and the problem is only with Viber. Its GUI is transparent and I cannot use it unless i minimize all other windows like Firefox for example. And my background hast to be black. See picture in attachment.

Viber syncs your contacts, messages, and history automatically between your phone and PC, so all you need to do is install Viber's Windows app on your PC and the correct app for your phone (ours is Android), and let Viber do the rest.

Hello @Maxim_Malencoff , this error should be due to Viber taking up too many ports, causing seafile to have no ports available.

You can try to increase the number of ports available on windows, the default number of ports available on windows is 5000. You can try to modify this according to this Microsoft document:

viber for desktop is a great add-on for viber because it allows faster messaging (typing on a real keyboard) and it can send/receive independently from your phone. however, i find that on a PC, the notification sounds for incoming messages and calls are more than annoying.

When I make a viber video call if I move any window around the screen the monitor is flicking. Strangely, it is not the Viber window or the video flicking but the whole screen. The colours are trembling and the windows seem to be broken/have a delay while moving them around the screen.

When I connect my Huawei P9 to a PC and browse folders I can see viber/media folders on both Internal Storage and SD Card. In this folder I can see Viber Images and some dot folders, but no Viber Videos or User Images.

However, there is a way to see images and videos (at least on Huawei P8): Open Files app (Huawei's default file explorer) and go to /viber/media and rename it's child folders (Viber Images and Viber Videos) and you'll be able to see them in Windows 10 Explorer.

I found only a single thing which looks weird: `aur/viber` runs with a shocking white window border, which looks really out of place for my dark Gnome theme. I suspect it's because a Qt app, but it worked correctly running the same setup on Xorg, and I don't really understand how the window manager theme can be different for a Qt app. To show a picture of the issue: - my terminal looks as expected, viber looks completely out of place.

Viber recently launched a competitive calling feature that lets Viber users call non-viber users on either mobile or landline, the same way that Skype works. The main difference between the two is price, with Viber costing far less than Skype in most situations.

The forensic investigation of this messaging application is extremely straight forward, as all the information are stored in a single SQLite database named viber.db along with other db and config files. This file is located under AppData Roaming on Windows. The full path will follow this structure: ff782bc1db
