Privacy Policy for VibeOn

This Privacy Policy describes how VibeOn ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application.
Summary
VibeOn does not require you to create an account, and does not collect or transmit your personal identity to us. Almost all data used by the App stays on your device. The only data shared with third parties relates to displaying advertising (see "Advertising" below).
Information We Collect
Information stored only on your device
The following information is stored locally on your device and is never sent to our servers (we do not operate any servers that receive this data):
- Display name: an optional nickname you can enter to personalize the app; not linked to any account or identity.
- Favorite radio stations: the list of stations you mark as favorites.
- Listening history: recently played stations and tracks, used only to power in-app features like resuming playback.
- Local music library references: the app reads the file names, folders, and metadata (title, artist, embedded artwork) of audio files you select from your own device storage, in order to display and play them. VibeOn does not read any files you have not selected, and does not access your device storage beyond the audio folders you choose.
- App preferences: settings such as crossfade, sleep timer, and playlist configurations.
Information accessed via device permissions
VibeOn requests the following Android permissions, used strictly for the purposes below:
- Media/Storage access (read audio and video files, read external storage): to let you select and play your own local audio files, and to load their embedded artwork.
- Foreground service / media playback / wake lock: to allow uninterrupted audio playback when the app is in the background or the screen is off.
- Notifications: to show playback controls on your lock screen while music is playing, and to occasionally send an optional friendly reminder notification if you haven't opened the app in a while. You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings.
Radio streaming data
When you play an internet radio station, VibeOn connects directly to the streaming URL provided by the radio station (via the public radio-browser.info directory). This connection is made directly between your device and the radio station's own server; VibeOn does not intercept, store, or process this audio stream on our own servers.
Recording feature
If you use the in-app radio recording feature, the recorded audio file is saved locally on your device only. We do not have access to, and do not receive copies of, any recordings you make.
Advertising
VibeOn displays advertising provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google AdMob may collect and process device information such as an advertising identifier, IP address, and general device/technical data, in accordance with Google's own privacy policy. This data is collected by Google, not by us directly. You can review Google's privacy practices at:

You can manage your ad personalization preferences through your device's system settings (e.g., Android Settings → Google → Ads).
Children's Privacy
VibeOn is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us using the details below so we can address it.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:
- Google AdMob, for the purpose of displaying advertising, as described above.
- Any information required to comply with applicable law.
Data Retention and Deletion
Since almost all app data (favorites, history, preferences) is stored only on your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing the app's data or storage from your device settings, or by uninstalling the app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
