It's worth every penny. Maybe you should do a poll. Preface it to say "must have purchased and used the vibe before". There are many detractors of the vibe that routinely trash the vibe that have never used it and a few that are upset that the price has gone up.

We have the Joy booked for Bermuda and after our experience last year in the Vibe, we wouldn't book a NCL trip without it. Having a quiet place outside on the ship that we didn't have to stress over finding a (cushioned) lounger and umbrella made the week for us. We don't gamble, shop or do any of the other "for pay" things on the ship so that's what's worth it to us.

If you're even debating it, I would grab it in your reservations. Vibe almost consistently sells out, and if you miss it, there's a VERY limited amount available day 1, but that sells out before most people board.

I like to spend time in a quieter environment and usually spend my days reading books and staring at the ocean. Having a good comfortable lounger always available and bartenders keeping us hydrated is worth it to me.

For us, it is definitely worth it and we will not cruise without it. We just got off the Encore this past Sunday and used it every day accept one day because we got back to the ship too late. Now, I will say that of all the Vibes we used, the Encore was my least favorite.

We prefer the smaller Vibes than the new expanded ones. And the lounge chairs in the Encore Vibe were not the usual padded ones in all of the other Vibes we have been in. However, a non-padded lounge chair in the Vibe is better than no access to the Vibe!

Interesting. It's one the biggest in the fleet, spanning both sides of the ship. I liked it because of the size and easier to find shade when we wanted it. I liked that it had the water feature upstairs. What didn't you like about it?

The lounge chairs mostly. I found them difficult to use and the arm rests were always in my way. It also seemed more crowded to us and while service was still very good, it was not as outstanding as we have previously experienced. They could have used another person working in the Vibe.

Funny story about your above comment.........I never met the bartender the first few days of the cruise as I had no need to go to the bar. When I was leaving the Vibe one late afternoon during the mid way point of our cruise, I stopped by the bar for a refresher. I put my pink Yeti down on the bar and the bartender sees my cup and comes right over and said "Gloria, rum and coke with a lime and where is Joe's black cup for his double Bacardi 8 on the rocks".

We booked our upcoming Dec cruise on Escape in first part of January. Was told by CAS that vibe would not be available to book until some time end of Summer. Next day while viewing our reservation on NCL website I noticed vibe passes were already for sale.

Not wanting to take a chance I took care of booking the vibe then and there. Moral of the story is if you want to get vibe passes make sure you book as far ahead as possible. It was the same way when we booked our vibe passes on Prima last year.

We're on the Escape in December (12/20-27) as well and did the same...booked Vibe and Spa about a month ago to ensure we had our passes. Escape is the smallest Vibe (only Starboard side) so you definitely want to snag that pass as soon as you can if you want it.

4. Encore, like @vacation44 said, they don't have cushioned loungers but rather loungers with strapped on head pillows which are not as comfortable. It is huge though with the full upper deck (which does have daybeds) but no shade. And, even though its our least favorite, its better than no vibe in our opinion.

We will be on the Prima in 2025 and the passes are already available for purchase. We haven't pulled the trigger yet since its an Iceland/Norway cruise, but we're pretty sure we will buy since it is also such a great place for views and the Prima Vibe looks great from all the photos and videos we've seen

Personal thing....I have "bought" VIBE passes twice. Once on the Breakaway and once on the Escape. I think the most I paid was $150 0r $160. I thought that was expensive but was willing to pay as I was staying in an inside room on both.

I have always heard that Vive Beach Passes are only sold first come first served after boarding but many of you are saying you purchased prior to boarding. We are booked on the Aqua next year, any advice for pre purchasing these would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure what you mean about comparing. The Vibe is exactly 3 inches away from the Haven sundeck (metal partition between the two). The Haven you have a full forward view 270 degrees. Vibe you look out over the side. Given that they are in the same place, the sun angle should be identical. The Haven sundeck is free, you need to pay for the Vibe.

Vibe is purchased once onboard and sales are limited, being in haven you get vip boarding and are more likely to be able to purchase if you board early enough. While they are escorting you onto ship tell them you are interested in purchasing vibe passes.

Yes, it is. But Vibe is a place to lay in the sun. The Haven is a nicer, larger room, a private restaurant, lounge, butler and concierge service, priority embarkation and disembarkation, etc. If you only looking only for a more private place to lay in the sun, book Vibe. If you are looking for more than that, the Haven provides it.

I am just curious how the NCL cruisers feel about the process NCL utilizes for customers to acquire Vibe Beach Club passes. The process to me just seems very unfair in that it only allows a very small percentage of the cruises per cruise to have access to this area. It appears there are basically now 2 ways to access these passes. 1) Reserve beforehand via the website and 2) once you get on the ship. Most of these passes are being purchased as 'length of the cruise' passes meaning the few lucky ones to actually get a pass have for the entire cruise further reducing the number of cruises the ability to utilize this area. Regarding getting the passes online ahead of time, there is no magic time these come available meaning its just almost pure luck if you happen to log-in at the right time to secure these, whereas once they hit online they are gone very quickly. The other method of being the first on ship and rushing to locate the site in which they are selling the passes for that particular cruise and selling out in 5-10 minutes, again, means only a select few get to secure that area. It just seems to me NCL would want as many guests to have access to that area. It would seem to me a possible alternative way would be to limit the number of days cruisers can secure passes for the Vibe allowing more customers the chance to experience it. But to advertise the Vibe they way they do and in reality only a very small percentage of people can actually use it, is a bit misleading and can be very frustrating for the casual cruiser. I am just curious how the general NCL public feels about this process.

This is a fair question - but I doubt there is any process NCL could use that would make everyone happy. The Vibe is, by definition, limited in size and occupancy. If it were not, no one would pay for it, and making money is what NCL is in business to do. So they have to limit who is there. I thought about a few ways they could do this:

On July 6, our cruise(Panama Canal) was 234 days out. I called NCL and booked two Vibe passes for the duration of our cruise, there's no "magic time" for when the passes become available. People on here on CC were saying 90 days, some said 100 days, others said 125 days just like dining reservations. That's why I called - I wanted to know straight from NCL. If Vibe passes aren't showing available to you online to purchase, I'd strongly suggest calling.

I have a cruise 306 days out and have the opportunity to buy Vibe passes. NCL now has my money almost a full year before I even enter the Vibe as opposed to me fighting my way to Guest Service are and hoping for a ticket.

i guess im in the minority of 1. the last thing i worry about is getting a vibe pass, even when we're staying in the haven complex and i have the luxury of having the concierge try and get us 2. ive never been at the vibe, so i cant really comment on how much fun it may be, i can just say that getting a pass, when there is so much else you can do on board , is not a priority for me.

before anyone tries to berate me for this post, please be advised that the vibe area just does not interest me, and certainly not to the extent of paying extra for passes. for those who enjoy the vibe, if we're ever on the same cruise, and im in a haven, if i can get you the passes, dont hesitate to ask me. 152ee80cbc
