Philosophy of Education
My philosophy is to teach my future students to the best of my ability to achieve success. As well as meeting my students' needs. Understanding a little of their backgrounds can help me make a great difference in my teaching career. I strongly believe that education is unique experiences for every student walking into my classroom. As a future teacher it is my priority to have my student experience a safe learning environment. Guiding my student to the right path and encouraging students to feel welcomed and open up their dialogue among others. My goal as a teacher is to give every student the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed , believe in themselves , and to love themselves.
I promised myself to leave a great memory of me as a teacher helping students and increasing a culture of diversity. In addition, through my enthusiasm I hope to impart a great desire for learning into my future students and unique experience for every student who enters my classroom.
As a new teacher, my competencies include good communication skills for both verbal and non-verbal cues, good listening skills, empathy and patience, adaptability, and collaboration with new working teams. Other personal abilities that fit me to the teaching career include a passion for learning, being present in the classroom at the right time, and valuing real-world hands-on experience learning. These skills and abilities are essential as they help me change my students' lives by impacting their knowledge in the classroom for their future success.
To better my abilities in the teaching profession, I ensure that I spend maximum time in the classroom studying new topics about the development of teaching competencies to provide a good learning environment for students in the school and other fields. There are various ways in which I can promote a learning environment, including students in fundamental issues such as leadership, community service, service-learning, debates, volunteerism, and having opinions. Engaging students’ meaningful technology enables them to access new learning techniques through sites such as web quests, skype, live streaming, and flipped classroom models. Providing a collaborative classroom environment helps students develop courage in asking questions, assisting the teacher in tackling some simple activities, and providing fundamental feedback in the classroom. Finally, delegate duties and empower students to make decisions on issues contributing to the betterment of their studies.
The teaching profession requires continuous learning as new concepts, programs, and teaching devices continue to be discovered in making education better. Therefore, various areas of further development are essential to my teaching career as I am passionate about providing quality theoretical and practical services to students. These areas of development include becoming a better team player through networking with other new and experienced teachers and engaging in collaborative problem solving, which would lead to success. Becoming a continuous learner is another critical area of further development in my profession. Teaching is a lifelong learning process as the world keeps changing with new concepts and technology emerging in the curriculum. Finally, I will need to improve my adaptability since the modern world requires professional flexibility in technology especially in the teaching profession, where changes occur daily. Another strategy that can help assist my students to succeed includes applying, measuring, and institutionalizing standards for teacher professional development .
Creating professional development openings that enhance teacher collaboration. Collaboration enhances a culture of trust and knowledge exchange among colleagues and improves teacher performance, students’ effectiveness, and willingness to adopt innovations. In conclusion, Learning is an ongoing process for all teachers to adapt to new techniques to discover the areas of improvement amongst the students then to innovate new teaching strategies for the learning activities.
