The Liberator was first started in the 1970's by Jeff Metcalf

Reporting on local news, school news, and other related topics, The Liberator has reported on the city of South Jordan through the decades- through building changes, staff changes, and a continuously diversifying student body

The Liberator is published quarterly, with all articles written and the layout created exclusively by students (with a little bit of teacher guidance!)

VHS's Journalism class is offered every quarter to any student who is interested, no prior experience is required! It earns .25 elective credit each quarter and can instead count as .25 Language Arts credit for seniors.
