Essentially, Astronomers are scientist who utilize computers, mathematical equations and even theories to calculate and study the movement of and behaviors of stars, planets and the universe's origin and history.
In this job, astronomers are expected to carry out multiple task, which would go from writing reports to trouble-shoot computers or even public speak.
Therefore, there are some traits and/or qualifications that you might have to have. This means that you are required to know how to do certain things. In this case, skills like critical thinking, programming and even calibration of instruments are necessary.

To be an Astronomer, it is required to at least have a PhD. However, there are still other entr-level positions and jobs that you can land with a lower level of education. In fact, jobs like Technical Support Specialist can be achieved with technical school certificates or undergraduate degrees. Also, there can be some requirements such as having a permission to legally be permitted to be in the United States.
At CalTech, they offer a rigorous curriculum. This means that courses offered might go from High-Energy Astrophysics, to Computational Laboratory, or even Radioactive Processes. Also, tuition fees and housing at Caltech can be quite expensive if you do not posses a scholarship. However, attending to CalTech has its own high-level rewards such as being able to network with other people to create contacts, as well as a degree from a well-renowed school.
Estimated cost: $65,000 a year, tuition only. That, for four years could total around $260,000
On the other hand, technical schools, such as Chattahoochee college, offer an accessible alternative when pursuing a career in different areas of choice. In this case, getting an associates degree from CTC can be very affordable, obviously letting go of that high-reward networking environment.
As for CTC, tuition fees for an Associate's Physics degree can go up to $3,000 dollars a school year, making it $6,000 to complete the program
For this job, there are various entry-level jobs or experience opportunities you can take. For instance, at Texas Christian University, a Research Apprentice Program is offered for Physics and Astronomy careers.
In this career, there are many things to consider when thinking about what the advantages and disadvantages are. However, there are more positive aspects than negative- at least in terms of income and social aspects. However, there are some aspects that might be faced, such as having irregular shifts, which can lead to a family detachment.

Physics are not be for everyone. However, there are different jobs that are related to astronomy that do not involve as much of those "galactic" aspects.
For example:
1.Weather Analysist
2.Science Writer
3.Software developer
