We take our time with your pet to make sure they are relaxed and comfortable. The cost includes sedation, catheter placement and the solution required to perform the procedure. We can organise aftercare for your pet through Eden Hills (a veterinary business dedicated to after care / cremation services for animals) for an additional fee.
Everyone is different in how they want the procedure to be performed prior to administering the euthanasia solution. The solution we administer is an anaesthetic agent - and the transition into passing usually occurs between 45 seconds to 2 minutes after administration. Your pet is comfortable and relaxed under sedation and the transition is very peaceful and painless.
End of life care is individual for each pet. Resources we commonly share with clients prior to consultation include;
1) Quality of life questionnaire
2) Quality of life scale

Time for processing by the company Eden Hills varies with what after-car requests are made. Standard individual cremation takes on average 10-14 working days for owners to have their pets ashes returned.
