Veto 2Godio is a singer, rapper, saxophonist, songwriter and producer who proclaims that music is his first love; and it shows. He has been passionate about music since his younger days of growing up in the mid-south bluff city of Memphis, TN. Veto 2Godio has been influenced by the likes of Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Project Pat, Eightball & MJG, Kenny G, Kirk Whalum, Fred Hammond, J. Moss and many more. Veto 2Godio recalls reading about stirring up the gifts that he has been given. From school band first chair alto and soprano saxophonist to tenor section leader of his childhood gospel choir, Veto 2Godio has always strived for excellence. By the time he enrolled in college at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) Veto 2Godio had begun to write hip hop rhymes.
While working on his bachelor's degree at MTSU he would periodically hit the road to be the opening act for an array of artist in various genres. Veto 2Godio has opened for The Isley Brothers, Howard Hewitt, Nappy Roots and Canton Jones, just to name a few. The level of education Veto 2Godio received from MTSU allowed him to teach 12th grade to at-risk students in inner city Nashville, TN. In Nashville, Veto 2Godio was featured on a Stellar Award nominated youth music project called Judah Generation where he rapped to the hit "Dance, Dance, Dance". Also, Veto 2Godio's urban gospel song "World Listen" received a Stellar Award nomination in 2006 for Best Gospel Rap album. (EMI compilation). His hip hop banger "Posted Up" climbed to #3 on the urban gospel charts while being played in over 15 million homes via XM radio and Direct TV. Veto 2Godio is ready to engage and re-engage music lovers and give them musical ear candy with substance. Veto 2Godio currently writes songs and music for TV and film. He also ghost writes for music industry favorites. Songs like “Get the Money”, “So Saucey” and “Can you handle it?” displays Veto 2Godio’s versatility in songwriting and creativity. Many would say, "Now Veto 2Godio is talking about something real in his music". Veto 2Godio vows to bring the best in music production and content. He always say, "It's not great music if you can't feel it".
