About me

Nau mai haere mai to Vet Nurse 2 U. My name is Jess and I'm an animal lover and pet owner just like you. I'm a fully qualified Diploma Veterinary Nurse with extensions in grooming and rural animal technology.

I come from a family of pig hunters and farriers where dogs and other animals were essential to our everyday life. After many years of living in rural Otago my family and I moved to Southland, and it was here I grew my love for animal care. I studied Rural Animal Technology and Veterinary Nursing at The Southern Institute of Technology, receiving my Diploma in 2020, and in this time, I noticed the increasing need for mobile services particularly in the elderly and parent community, not only in southland but all-over New Zealand. While there are many great Veterinary Nurses and Clinics in Southland, I choose a different path. So with that I extend a warm welcome to all and look forward to working with you and your fur babies.
