Big Big Bamboo

The international textile exhibition Wirework in St. Truiden mainly showed lace as an art form and especially small works of art. Antoon Versteegde made an enormous bamboo installation with the local population that shows the same basic technique: lines with nodes and transparency as is the case with lace lingerie.

De internationale textieltentoonstelling Wirework in St. Truiden vertoonde vooral kant als kunstvorm en dan speciaal kleine kunstwerkjes. Antoon Versteegde maakte met de lokale bevolking een enorm grote bamboe installatie die dezelfde basistechniek weergegeven: lijnenspel met knooppunten en transparantie zoals bij kanten lingerie is.
