Versatile Dance School is a non-profit organization that provides a platform for underprivileged youth to express themselves through dance. Our project explores the themes of empowerment, self-expression, and community building.

Our Vision

We envision a community where dance is accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or socio-economic background. We strive to inspire a love of dance that extends beyond the studio, enriching the lives of our students and their families.

Our Founding Story

Versatile Dance School was founded in 2021 by Mr. Thimna Sitokisi and Ms. Nomalanga Matomela. 

Mr. Thimna is a passionate dancer and educator with a vision to create a unique and inclusive dance community. With a background in classical and contemporary dance, and a Performance Arts Diploma, Mr. Thimna brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the dance studio. A renowned dancer, choreographer, and educator, he has performed, taught, and choreographed for numerous productions, and is dedicated to sharing the joy of dance with his students. Mr. Thimna recognized the need for a school that offered a diverse range of dance styles, expert instruction, and a supportive environment. 

With 3 years of experience in arts administration, Ms. Nomalanga oversees operations, supports event planning, and serves as Rehearsal Director. She's a passionate advocate for creative arts in disadvantaged communities, dedicating her expertise to empowering young children and youth.

Our history

Over the past years, Versatile Dance School has grown from a small studio to a thriving dance community, with a team of experienced instructors, a diverse range of classes, and a reputation for excellence. We have proudly watched our students grow and thrive, achieving success in dance competitions, performances, and beyond.

Mr. Dlakavu is  is a multifaceted creative professional with expertise in social media marketing, particularly on YouTube, as well as designing posters and promotional videos. As an advocate for the arts, human development, and creativity, he brings a unique perspective to his work. His contributions to the company are highly valued and acknowledged, making him an integral part of the team.
