Welcome to the online home of the Versailles Rural Fire Protection District. We are a property tax funded fire protection district that serves 117 square miles surrounding Versailles, Missouri in rural Morgan County. We cover a mix of agriculture, commercial, retail and residential areas. We operate out of 3 stations with 15 apparatus and 45 all volunteer personnel. We provide fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services in coordination with Mid-Mo Ambulance District and our great mutual aid neighbors.

Cooking Fire on Marvin Cutoff

These incidents are where awareness that home cooking (particularly grease fires) are so dangerous. Do not put water on a grease fire, it will only spread it. Use Baking Soda or better yet, a kitchen type fire extinguisher. If unable to safely control it, leave the house, close all doors and call 911. Make sure all your family is at your safe meeting place.

On any highway incident, be very aware of other vehicles and on vehicle fires, stay away from the fire, vehicles have a number of things that go BOOM!
