Madras Lane Tea Centre @ Chinatown
Enlivening the backlane of Madras Lane with existing urban activities through static activities snapshots analysis.
Madras lane already have its own tea drinking activity, the so call “tea culture”. And this existing tea drinking culture happens in a back lane alley of a building or frontage of a building. Unfortunately this culture of back lane tea drinking is not being celebrate. This because the lack of proper place for such activities, and also the lack of exposure and consciousness on this activity. This thesis is to design a place where tea drinking culture in chinatown is being celebrate. With the upbringing of a tea centre in the heart of chinatown back lane, it will enhance more clearer on the identity of the chinatown itself.
