When are tryouts?
Clinics and tryouts for incoming freshmen and transfer students will take place:
July 29 - 4:30-6:30PM
July 30 - 2:30-4:30PM
July 31 - 4:30-6:30PM
All freshmen and transfer students are able to participate in summer conditioning with current team members prior to tryouts.
What will I do during tryouts?
Athletes will learn 1 cheer, the school fight song, 1 dance (female only), 1 coed stunt (male only), and 3 jumps. Flyers will also learn a variety of body positions. Some of this material will also be taught throughout the summer. All material learned, along with tumbling skills, will be demonstrated on the final day of tryouts for a panel of judges.
What do I need to bring?
Prior to attending clinics, athletes will need to create a profile on Final Forms and upload all required documents, including a current sports physical (on the provided AIA form). Families will be notified via email when their athlete is cleared to participate in athletic activities.
Athletes must submit a hard copy of their most current report card grades and TWO teacher recommendations on or before the first day of tryouts.
All athletes must submit the final page of the Athlete Information Packet complete with signatures.

Hair must be up and out of the face.
All jewelry must be completely removed.
Nails should not extend past the fingertips.
Please wear all black on the final day of tryouts.
Do I need to attend every day?
Yes! If you have a special circumstance that will not allow you to attend one or more of the tryout dates, please email Melodie Brewer, Head Cheer Coach, at mbrewer@aguafria.org to see if you are still eligible to tryout.
How will I be judged?

Additional tumbling may be required for competition teams.
