Head Coach | Program Director

Melodie (a.k.a. Coach Mel) is entering her 30th year as a cheer coach, and her third with Verrado. She started cheering at the age of eight and loved everything about it. Melodie has coached athletes ages 3-18 all over the Valley. In addition to coaching rec, all-star, and high school cheer, Coach Mel is a former all-star gym owner and has worked as a choreographer, judge, mentor, and consultant for schools and coaches across the state of Arizona. She is also the 23-24 Infinity Arizona Coach of the Year and Verrado Coach of the Year! Melodie is so excited for another season with her Viper family!

Junior Varsity Coach

Coach Vivian is a Verrado High School Cheer Alumni, cheering on the vipers during all four years of high school. To this day, the memories she made as an athlete and coach are the memories she holds nearest and dearest to her heart. This will be Vivian's 4th year as a coach, working for two years at Verrado Heritage Elementary School and one year with Estrela Foothills High School. She is excited to be working alongside an amazing coaching staff and talented athletes! Let's go Vipers!  

Competition Coach

Cheer Coach, Hairstylist, Mama. Lily has tumbled since age four and has over fifteen years of experience in the cheer world, both on and off the mat! Lily’s first year with Verrado HS brought home 1st place in the 2023 USA Nationals Competition in Anaheim. When she’s not at cheer practice, Lily likes thrifting, reading, watching movies and tending to her dozens of house plants. She lives with her husband, their son, dog and two cats. One Verrado! Go Vipers!!
