Hello! My name is Lori Marino. I am excited to work with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra , directing an esteemed group of young musicians. I currently teach at the University of Vermont, on faculty as a voice instructor in the Music Department. I have a private music studio and I teach Middle Grade Level music & directing the Middle School Choral Music Program at Shelburne Community School. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance from Ithaca College School of Music and a Masters Degree in Voice Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College.

I have enjoyed a career of performing and teaching music while raising my family. I most recently appeared on stage with the Opera Company of Middlebury this Spring in their production of "La Boheme" and enjoyed appearances with Vermont Opera in Concert as Dorabella in "Cosi fan tutte" and the Vermont Philharmonic in December of 2025 as the Alto Soloist in Handel's Messiah. I performed with Opera Company of Middlebury in Donizetti's "La fille du regiment" and previously in Beethoven's only opera, "Fidelio".

In my down time, I love to bake, golf, play soccer, read a good book and hike with family and friends. I live in Williston with my husband Greg, four wonderful children, our dog, Maya and my daughter's cat, Hazel!
