My first “Verkaik “that comes in mind is Kees ( Cornelis) Verkaik, born in Lekkerkerk on 7-5-1949 and passed away on 1-2-2021 in Lekkerkerk   together with Leo ( Leendert Arie) Mudde and Frans Kieboom the formed the band “de Vrijbuiters “ here a link to youtube

and ofcourse they made more to find at youtube, a little knowledge , Kees (drummer, zanger) and Leo ( arccordeon/ zanger) we’re grand cousins in , so family.

Another that comes to mind is  Hendrika Adriana Verkaik Hennieta, Married To Robert Strating, a composer musician that composed the tune for the Tv Series “Medisch centrum West “

Hendrika was born 15-08-1968 in Gouda, South-Holland…passed away 19-05-2019 in a sad tagedy

And who can remenber “Teach inn”, This band ,In 1970 the group signed its first recording contract. In addition to Versteeg and Nijhuis, Teach-In consists of singer Hilde Felix, singer Henk Westendorp, guitarist John Snuverink and bassist Frans Schaddelee. In the summer of 1971, Teach-In released its first single, entitled 'Spoke The Lord Creator'. The song is a popular adaptation of the classic piece 'Chorale St. Antoni' by Joseph Haydn. The single does virtually nothing, just like its successor 'So Easy To Sing', an arrangement of the Slave Choir from Verdi's opera Nabucco.

Frans Schaddelee was born in Wieringen Noord-Holland at 15-07-1950 and passed away on 26-01-2010 Enschede, Overijssel, he was a grandson of Geertruida Verkaik and Cornelius Adrianus Schaddelee to be found in tree number 7
