I think we got our goes-inta's and our goes-outta's confused. Syncing moves my contacts from the phone to the cloud with no problem. When anything is changed in the cloud, it does not import to the phone.

I have the droid incredible and my contacts haven't sync for some time. I manually sync using the app but it keeps saying backup contacts failed. I then decided to go online to the actual site, and still come up with the same problem. Any new contacts on my phone won't sync to cloud!

I believe the Incredible by default saves all of your contacts as Google Contacts so if you want to use Verizon Cloud you will first need to change them all to Phone Contacts. Personally I would leave them all as Google Contacts, or set them all to Google contacts and let Google do the backup for you. It is pretty much real time, fast, accurate and seamless.

Verizon Cloud is an online cloud storage application developed by Verizon Wireless. Verizon Cloud provides secure online storage that can back up and sync important contacts, photos, videos, music, documents, call records, and text messages. It can facilitate you to access and manage all content on any device.

If you still cannot execute backup tasks properly after trying the above methods, the problem is likely to be in your account. Try to contacts a customer support representative and explain the situation to them, they will help you solve the problem.

You can use it to merge Google Drive accounts (and other cloud drives such as OneDrive and Dropbox), and combine the free space of these cloud drive accounts into a larger backup space. You only need to log in once to access all your files in CBackup, which is convenient for your management.

I am frustrated that information that Verizon Cloud backs up from contacts is then automatically added to the contacts list and linked back to the contacts it backs up. In other words, even though I select Google as the only item in the "Contacts to Show" setting, my Verizon Cloud contacts are "displayed" and thus automatically linked to each and every contact, thus duplicating the information.

I think you misunderstood. I know how to select what contacts are displayed and not displayed, but there is no option for Verizon Cloud, so I have no control on their inclusion or exclusion in my list of contacts. There should be an option to include or exclude the Verizon Cloud contacts in my contacts display.

I believe it's a function of Android. When Verizon Cloud backs up contacts, it puts them into a read only address book on the phone. When you see that red cloud icon, you know it's been backed up to the cloud.

It may be, but as the only contacts I have enabled for display are my Google contacts, why do the Verizon Cloud contacts get linked with my Google contacts? How can my Verizon Cloud contacts be prevented from display? In any case, this is something that Verizon should address as why would a user want to link a backup copy of a contact to the source for that contact?

I understand how to display only Google contacts, and have followed the steps you describe. My default storage location is set to Google(email address) and Contacts to Show is set to Google(email address).

The problem is that with these settings and when I select a contact, that I see the information both from Cloud and Google. This is verified by when I display the contact, then select the 3 dots, and then select Manage liked contacts, it shows Cloud(cloud) and Google(email address). What is needed is a way to not include the Cloud linkage, but I have found no option for this.

The second problem happens when I go to the web Verizon Cloud...to manually put in contact information and then sync it to my device. It syncs and syncs... over and over... without stopping. I end up being timed out and the end result is that the changes done on the web do not get transferred to my phone contacts list.

Side note, in case it is important: I am attaching an image of the Backup Assistant Plus where you can see that I am unable to tap "NEXT" as they ask me (the orange contacts image is blocking access). Thanks.

I did try something: going to the Cloud app on the phone...then pressing "settings" and then under "what to back up" I select nothing . Suddenly it says that there are 87 contacts not backed up. This is surprising as the phone only has 72 contacts.
