Are you unsure what size return air grille to get? When ordering, use the actual hole size rather than the grillage faceplate dimensions. A 10" x 6" opening necessitates a 10" x 6" grillage.

The grills are white in color. What's the deal with the grey tones in the photos?
Since the grills are a semi-glossy white against a white backdrop, it's almost impossible to take a good picture without losing information. We used a black light box to photograph the grills in order to give them more clarity and a grey color.

Our RAPs are a simple and affordable way to enhance indoor vapor quality, eliminate hot and cold spots in spaces, and reduce the burden on vapor conditioning systems. Most notably, installing RAPs increases energy efficiency and saves money on both cooling and heating for homeowners.
PATHWAYS FOR RETURNING AIR (RAPS)
To provide conditioned vapor to every room in a building, most HVAC contractors install ducts and registers. However, they often fail to provide a sufficient return-air route from each room to the furnace. In many homes, return vapor transfer grilles are not installed in every room. Instead, homes would have a single wide return-air grillage that serves the entire house in a central hallway or living room. This means that all of the air needed by the home's forced-air system must be drawn through the single grillage before being heated or cooled by the furnace. As a consequence, air pressure is disrupted. As a result, there are inconsistencies in room temperatures, higher energy prices, and moisture issues in toilets.
Using through-wall and in-door switch grilles is a convenient and inexpensive solution in these situations. Return vapor Pathways (or RAPs for short) are Tamarack Brand transfer grilles that provide a channel for vapor to flow from one room to the next. Tamarack RAPs have an internal baffle material that prevents increased light and sound transmission through the vent/grillage.
