2023 Comic Storyboard Concept

6 years ago, Michael Arcane noticed a strange symbol and its connection to recent fires. He tried some experiments with smoke. A year later, the incident happens (Steven Arcane). When Steven Arcane escaped, he too noticed the strange symbol.

5 years later, Ethan’s house burned down, and the symbol is left there. Skyler is framed for this fire, and he is sent to a mental hospital, where he meets Zander. A guard tells Skyler his sister is there to meet him. He assumes its Serenity, but its actually Hatty. She convinces Skyler to turn evil, and he escapes. Neko, a friend of Skyler’s, finds out about this, and steals a gem from Letalis’ secret hideout. This gem is used to split Villain Skyler and Skyler’s mind, making them two physically different people entirely. Villain Skyler runs off. Steven Arcane meets up with Neko, Skyler, and Skyler’s friends, and tells them what he knows. He tells them that all of the fires with the symbol were caused by Hatty. Ethan is spiteful. Hatty finds Reginald, and attempts to kill him. She reveals she is only causing problems to inconvenience him, hence why she burned Arcane Industries, a branch of Reginald Corp. She shoots him, and runs away. Hatty is nowhere to be found, and Skyler stops having flashbacks. 

Steven Arcane finally creates the antidote, but it gets stolen by Silen. Silen returns to base and meets with Letalis, his boss, and his coworkers, Plias and "The Faceless One" (6). They noticed the gem is stolen, so they stole something from them, to make it even. Plias goes rogue and hunts down Neko, and eventually kidnaps her. Neko plays smart and uses her yo-yo to break the ceiling to escape by pulling on a chandelier, and she tells Steven where the antidote is. Steven notices some changes on his radar, chooses to ignore them, and tries to retrieve his antidote. Meanwhile, several earthquakes happen, and Skyler sees a therapist about his visions of his villain version. Latalis reveals a new gem that can shoot beams, giving everyone extremely painful headaches to the point of death. Neko overhears everything, and tries stealing it. The Faceless One notices and shoots the gem at Neko, but misses. Instead, the beam hits Steven, but since he's made of smoke, it goes through him, and bounces off the walls, hitting Plias. Silen forces the antidote down Steven's throat, turning him back human, and kidnaps him to make Plias an antidote. Letalis tries to kill Neko, but she escapes and tells everybody what happened. Neko and Skyler go to Letalis' base. Letalis is upset with The Faceless One, and shoots them. The Faceless One tumbles, and then they walk away. Silen and Letalis leave, and The Faceless One notices Neko. They type something on the computer and reveals a QR code. They look at Skyler, give a thumbs up, and then they die. The QR code explains Letalis and their group. Neko and Skyler uses this information to their advantage and defeats Silen. Skyler disguises as Silen and walks past Letalis to go see Steven. Skyler frees Steven, and Steven becomes smoke again.

Skyler finds Letalis and defeats him, and Silen gives Plias the antidote. Plias goes on to live a normal life. Skyler wakes up Silen, and he tells him about why Neko stole the gem in the first place. Silen understands, and tells Neko how to break the other gem. She breaks it, Skyler gets out of his disguise, and Silen leaves. Steven explains to Skyler and Neko that the antidote allows him to become smoke and human at will (which he recently discovered). They head back and they feel an earthquake, but they think nothing of it.
