Virtual Trip To Kowloon City

Architecture & Environment :

The knowledge of built environment and architecture planning is important in a city because it can affect the human experience in that area. For example, after learning about Kowloon as the walled city where up to no city planning is done, has negatively affected the people living there as there were pipes leaking on the ceiling, there are certain areas that is not exposed to sunlight and big families living in a small houses. Seeing the people living at such conditions saddens me and made me appreciate that our country takes importance in architecture in general.

Lifestyle :

Not only that, the fact that Kowloon city doesn't have any laws have caused the city to be a haven for crime. Some people opened brothels and drug dealing as a source of income however they are not punished. This shows how important it is to have laws set in a country. Not only that, it is also mentioned that the stalls and shops are not sanitary and clinics and dentists do not have official licenses. The people of Kowloon City lives in poverty, where they don't have proper jobs and facilities which is still a occuring problem even today in most third world countries.

My Choosen Scene :

When a young pentecostal evangelist decided to teach religious activities in the city of Kowloon to save the souls of crooks, prostitutes and drug addicts.

This scene made me reflect on myself, and thought that i should be inspired by her to help others who are in need of guidance as well maybe not from religious activities but I can always donate and visit places that are near me like the orphanage to lend a helping hand or even help teach the kids there.
