WPI Class of 2024 -- Industrial Engineering
I am a junior Industrial Engineering major at WPI, as well as an active member of the WPI student body. I am an active member of the Chi Omega Fraturnity, theta mu chapter, an executive and founding member of A Moment of magic and a senator of SGA. I grew up an only child in the tiny (middle of nowhere) town of Pelham, NH. This led me to spending most of my time outdoors, whether it was boating, fishing, hiking or kayaking. I also enjoy playing the piano and painting when the weather isn’t as good. These activities allow me to unplug which I found to be especially important at school where I spend most of my time with my eyes on my computer screen all day long. I am so excited to explore Italy and hopefully do some of these activities in our time there! In summer of 2021 I started working as an intern at BAE Systems and continued that this past summer. Although interns are generally at the bottom of the hierarchy I was given many opportunities to develop new skills and network. In high school I also participated in a few programs BAE put on to help get high school students interested in STEM, this is where my interest for helping in the STEM efforts in Venice comes from.

WPI Class of 2024 -- Electrical and Computer Engineering
For as long as I can remember I have been into technology, music, and video games. Wherever I go I always find a way to get a speaker playing tunes at the best possible quality. Recently I have come to be learning to play music on piano as well. Regarding science, I have enjoyed engineering as soon as I started it. Initiated by my love of technology, I have been pursuing Electrical and Computer engineering to understand and create the electrical marvels that power the world today. When I get the time, I pick up a controller and game. My current favorites include Doom Eternal, Read Dead Redemption 2, Minecraft, Destiny, Rainbow Six, and the Forza Horizon series. In this vein, I have been inspired to bring about my passion for AV equipment to make the best possible gaming experience I can, from building a surround sound setup to acquiring some of the best displays on the market. However, these are all always best enjoyed with friends. Movie and gaming nights have fueled my excitement for years, but these aren’t the only ways that my homies like to hang out. Swimming, going to the Cape, getting ice cream, and much more. Speaking of ice cream, and despite being lactose intolerant, it remains to be probably my most consumed food hands down, followed close in second by pasta, both of which are just as good vegetarian as normal. A friend to all and a geek at heart.

WPI Class of 2024 -- Biology/Biotechnology
I’m a Biology/ Biotechnology major from Billerica, Massachusetts. Following graduation from WPI, I hope to attend pharmacy school where I plan to receive my PharmD. After obtaining a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, I would like to work as a pharmacist at a therapeutic company focusing on cancer research. On campus I’m involved in Alpha Phi, the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and I work at the Academic Technology Center (ATC) located in Fuller Labs. At the ATC, we work with a large amount of the technology being used on campus, and assist students and professors with numerous technological issues. When I’m not at school or work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, going to the gym, shopping, going to the beach, and trying new restaurants. I have a younger brother who is starting his freshman year at Nichols College, along with two pet cats back in Billerica. I’m super excited to travel to Venice and work with my team to help Venetian children learn more about STEM. Helping others is one of my many interests, and I believe this will be easily applicable to my groups project as we are in Venice.

WPI Class of 2024 -- Mechanical Engineering
I am currently in my junior year at WPI studying for a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Philosophy. I play Club Ice Hockey and Club Lacrosse at WPI, and I am a member of the national fraternity, Phi Gamma Delta. I am from Cape Cod, so I spend much of my free time relaxing on the beach or on a boat. I have three younger siblings: a sister attending Lynn University and two brothers at home. I have experience working as a counselor at a children’s day camp, an office assistant for a construction company, and an intern at a thermoforming manufacturing company. I plan to utilize my skills gained from working with children, managing site crews, and troubleshooting technical appliances to bring value to my IQP team and final project. I will be working on the STEM team to create an educational workshop for Venetian children to learn the importance of STEM for the preservation of Venice, and the world. Venice is a pivotal city in the race against climate change, and it is of great importance for the younger generations to be a part of solving not only a local issue, but a global crisis. Our mission is not only to teach the Venetian children how STEM can be utilized to solve local problems, but to foster an understanding of the importance of using technology to help save the entire planet from environmental crisis. I am extremely excited to explore the city of Venice and to be a part of promoting the conservation and protection of our world by inspiring the Venetian children.
