What Is This Project About?

The Vendozoic Project explores the future of an alternate Earth where the Ediacara Biota, or Vendozoans, survived the Cambrian Substrate Revolution. Vendozoans would here become the dominant lifeforms, instead of being replaced by modern animals like in our timeline. New, alien phyla, which barely had a chance to survive in our world, will thrive here, bringing with them alternate body plans rarely seen in the world of speculative evolution.

Geological Timescale

As the Ediacaran biota didn't collapse and wasn't replaced during the Cambrian Explosion, there is no discontinuity between the Ediacaran and the following periods, thus leading to the following timescale.
