What Makes a Bungō?

A Bungō (文豪) is a Japanese term which can be translated as 'literary great', they commonly refer to writers and poets from the pre-contemporary era. But maybe you're asking yourself, what makes a writer a "Bungō"?

Of course it's something that you can put as those things that "you know it when you see it" but, are there metrics which are simple to understand that can be used in case anyone wants to make their own Bungō series?

For this question, I will be using a few different Bungō media. Bungō Stray Dogs written by Asagiri Kafka, The Woodpecker Detective's Office by Kei Ii as well as the DMM.com game, Bungō to Alchemist.
