🌿 FULL RECIPE🌿
Ingredients
8 slices French bread
4 tablespoons The Vegg mix
½ cup of water
1 cup plant based milk (I am using oat milk)
1/4 teaspoon coarse sea salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Unsalted vegan butter for cooking
Walnuts(optional)
Maple syrup powdered sugar, and berries for serving,
Instructions
1.The first step to making a fluffy toast is to pick the right bread. I chose this day old french loaf day old bread from my bakery. Stale bread is actually better for French toast because it will soak up the batter and flavor.
2. Cut each slice into 1” thick pieces and set aside.
3.In a shallow pan or pie plate, add milk, vanilla, vegg power scramble mix, 1 tsb cinnamon, water and a pinch of salt. Whisk until well combined.
The batter should be thin.
4.Dip each side of the bread in the egg mixture. Then add all little cinnamon and sugar to the top.
5.Set the skilled to medium/high heat. Add butter to the skillet cook for 3-4 minutes on each side.
6. Remove from heat add vegan butter, syrup and garnish of choice.
7. Enjoy!
