I had the incredible opportunity to have my live studio session broadcasted on BBC Introducing Radio in Nottingham, thanks to the amazing Dean Jackson. His kind words and feedback have meant the world to me. Dean mentioned that I have “bags of potential that you shouldn't miss out on,” which was such an encouraging and humbling statement. Also, he also urged listeners to “keep an eye out for any of her upcoming music” which really inspired me to keep pushing forward in my personal chosen career. What truly stood out to me was when he described my vocals as “captivating” because hearing such praise from a respected figure in the industry was an incredible moment. This experience has given me even more drive to create and share my music with the world, so for this, I am beyond grateful to BBC Introducing for their support.
In addition to this incredible milestone, I was fortunate enough to be interviewed live on Notts TV, and it turned out to be an experience I’ll never forget. The interviewer was genuinely complimentary, describing my voice as "incredibly versatile" — a statement that immediately took me by surprise and filled me with pride. To take it a step further, they even compared my sound to some of the most legendary soul artists in the world, a comparison I could hardly believe. Hearing that my music was being recognized in such a meaningful way, and being placed in the same conversation as icons of the genre, was an overwhelming experience. It was one of those rare moments where everything seems to fall into place, and I couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of gratitude and accomplishment. Being likened to the greats in soul music history is a recognition I will carry with me forever, and it serves as a powerful reminder of the journey I’ve embarked on and the passion I pour into every note.
