Dr. Duc-Thang Vo is an Assistant Professor at the College of Engineering, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST or Taiwan Tech), specializing in chemical engineering. His research focuses on functional biomaterials and nanotechnology, particularly on developing and modifying chitosan-based biopolymers to tackle critical challenges in antimicrobial treatments and environmental sustainability.
Dr. Vo concurrently serves as an Advisor to the Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Taiwan Tech and as Co-Principal Investigator of the INTENSE Program in Vietnam, with a strong commitment to international academic collaboration. He has played a key role in fostering and strengthening educational ties between Vietnam and Taiwan while actively advancing talent development opportunities for Vietnamese students.
Dr. Vo has lived in Taiwan since 2011 and actively contributed to the Vietnamese and international communities. He currently serves as President of the Vietnam Innovative and Intellectual Network in Taiwan (VIN Taiwan) and has previously held leadership positions in several organizations, including the Vietnamese Student Association in Taiwan (VSATW) and the NTUST International Alumni Association in Taiwan (iAA-NTUST). Through these roles, he has promoted international engagement, supported the advancement of Vietnamese scholars abroad, and participated in policy dialogue in education, science, and innovation.
Combining scientific expertise with educational vision, Dr. Duc‑Thang Vo is dedicated to strengthening the bond between Vietnam and Taiwan.
