Week Ten Report

Accomplished Last Week

• Finished updating the primary and foreign key relationships.
• Finished the labels for primary keys and foreign keys and checkbox.
• Added warning dialog when trying to delete an Attribute that is a primary or foreign key.
• Various bugs fixes to the GUI regarding attributes.
• Exit and Select/Deselect menu items are now functional.
• Fixed a bug in which the save option appears when exiting from a closed diagram.
• Changed the save dialog to use the built-in JavaFX Alert class.
• Started research/scheduling on the user manual.

Problems Encountered and Solutions

• Distribution of the workload regarding coding continues to be very uneven.
• No direct work went toward translation to SQL (just support with the primary/foreign keys.)

Team Progress: Alignment with Gantt Chart

The GUI is essentially finished. The Diagram is continuing to make good progress. As long as we can continue some work for both Applications and the final reports, there shouldn't be too many major time issues right now.

Team Contributions

Workflow seems to be about the same as it often is. There was discussion throughout the week, and there seems to be a general awareness of each other's actions.

• Our main goal is still to start the classes needed to translate the diagram to SQL.
• Start implementation of documentation generation.
• Time permitting: start implementing undo/redo commands.
• Start focusing on designing and writing the user manual.
