Chicago Meigs International Airport
As you approach the retired Chicago Meigs International Airport, the runway gradually takes on a translucent, sky-blue appearance. Touching down on the runway—or even briefly making contact with it—activates the effect. The surrounding terrain shifts to a deep blue-purple hue, the sky changes to a sunset scene, and you are placed in a Cessna 172 wearing a retro livery. Music also begins to play. This retro mode can alternatively be activated manually using the console command geofs.api.doRetro().
Go to: "Northerly Island" from the Location search bar.
Bell UH-1H
The Bell UH-1H Iroquois features a unique and interesting easter egg tied to its Vietnam War–era roots. As a nod to the film "Apocalypse Now", players can lower the flaps—using either the [F] key or the [ key—to trigger a bass-boosted version of *Fortunate Son* by Creedence Clearwater Revival. To experience this easter egg, in-game sound must be enabled.

F-16 Fighting Falcon
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is one of the most iconic and well-loved military aircraft, but there are some hidden details you might not notice at first. Zooming into the afterburner while it is inactive reveals the text “GEOFS 2019” inside.
There is another subtle detail inside the cockpit. When viewing the back of the pilot’s seat, you can see the phrase “DEARMED FEB 2001.” This is believed to reference the U.S. and British military action related to Iraq on February 16, 2001.

Boeing 777-300ER
If you spawn the aircraft while the game is paused, you’ll notice a red gift ribbon wrapped around it. This effect can also be triggered by pressing [X], meaning it functions as an animation. Another easter egg can be found inside the cabin: to the left of the pilot’s seat and to the right of the co-pilot’s seat, there are images of an aircraft cabin featuring Santa sitting in one of the seats. These are visible from the cockpit view. The ribbon, however, has received mixed reactions from players, as it can appear unexpectedly when the airspeed drops to 100 knots or below.

F-35B
If you take a close look inside the F-35B's afterburners, you’ll notice a hidden detail tucked away within them…

Aerospatiale Alenia ATR 72-600
We’ll leave it up to you to decode the message so as not to ruin the surprise.
[x]
The ATR 72-600 features three notable easter eggs. The first can be found beneath the wings, where a message written in Morse code appears:
-. . ...- . .-. / --. --- -. -. .- / --. .. ...- . / -.-- --- ..- / ..- .--. / -. . ...- . .-. / --. --- -. -. .- / .-.. . - / -.-- --- ..- / -.. --- .-- -.
JAaMDG Top Secret Document
The second easter egg appears when the cargo door animation is activated. By zooming in on the boxes loaded onto the baggage truck, you can spot text reading “J-Aviation and Military Development Group Top Secret Documents,” along with the phrase “Everyone is a suspect.”
Check the ATR 72-600.
Scaled Model 348 "WhiteKnightTwo"
One fairly easy easter egg to spot can be found on the aircraft’s engines, where every major JAaMDG aircraft developed up to the SpaceShipTwo project is displayed (excluding projects that were started later but released earlier). There’s also another easter egg hidden inside the aircraft that’s especially fun to discover. The WK2 features two cockpits, and if you check the one on the right, you’ll find a surprise waiting there.

Cameron R-650 Roziere Balloon
The first community-contributed hot air balloon, like other JAaMDG aircraft, includes several hidden easter eggs. The most noticeable one is the toilet located behind the cockpit view. Although intended as a joke, this feature is actually present on real-life Rozière balloons, allowing passengers to endure long transatlantic flights. Both the toilet and the accompanying bags were added after the balloon’s initial release.

Robinson R-44
The Easter egg on the Robinson R-44 can be found by opening the "Cameras" menu, navigating to "Extra Views", and selecting the "Back Row" camera. There, you’ll see an R-44 operating handbook that includes an address. That address corresponds to a real-world location: Olympia Regional Airport, which is home to Glacier Aviation Inc.
