Research Area: Visual Computing

Our research interest lies in visual computing that combines computer graphics and computer vision. We are mainly aiming at reconstructing high-fidelity visual content. By understanding and utilizing the principles of light transport between cameras and objects, we designed the real phenomena in the surface-reflection model for realistic rendering and built up the physical-based reconstruction methods to generate visually accurate 2D or 3D digital contents. We are pursuing our research in this direction to lower the hurdle between the virtual and real world.Â
