Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery: MIGS : Xen ImplantationMinimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery: MIGS : Xen Implantation
The Xen Implant is a tiny, flexible tube made of gelatin. It's inserted into your eye to create a new drainage pathway for the fluid inside your eye (aqueous humor). Excess fluid flows through the Xen tube into the area under the clear membrane covering the white of your eye (conjunctiva), forming a tiny fluid-filled blister (bleb). This helps lower the pressure inside your eye.
