Visva-Bharati no longer conducts VBCAT or admits students on the basis of marks obtained in the HS (or equivalent) examination. Now the admissions in B.A./B.Sc. courses are done through the CUET test conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The application procedure starts from February first/second week and continues for about one month. There is a quota for the existing internal students.

CUET 2023 important dates
**Admission will be solely on basis of merit list based on CUET marks and Dept. wise (Visva-Bharati) subject criteria, subject to availability of seats and fulfillment of the Departmental Criteria. Calling for counselling based admission process does not guarantee admission. A short Wait list will also be prepared on the same day according to merit during online counselling.
At the time of Counseling, candidates must have to show the followings: -
Any Photo Identity Card. e.g. Voter Card/ Aadhar Card/Pan Card/Passport etc issued by Govt. of India
Class X/High School Marksheet/Certificate/Admit or Birth Certificate in support of date of birth issued by the competent authority.
CUET Score Card and 10+2 Mark sheet
Category Certificates (OBC Non Creamy layer/SC/ST/EWS/PWD), issued by competent authority. Validity period of OBC Certificate is three (03) years (if validity period expired, then NCL certificate for the current Financial Year is mandatory), for EWS it is one (1) year and PWD certificate validity as mentioned in the certificate. No request for further timing will be entertained in both cases.
Any other relevant documents mentioned in the Visva-Bharati prospectus 2022-23 by the respective department/centre.

Eligibility for B.Sc. (Mathematics)
UR: Minimum 60% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in Mathematics at 10+2 level
OBC: Minimum 54% marks in aggregate and 54% marks in Mathematics at 10+2 level
SC&ST: Passed in Mathematics at 10+2 level

Procedure: If you don't have JRF, you have to sit for an Admission Test, provided that you fulfill all criteria to apply for the test. After that, everyone has to go through an interview conducted by the Department of Mathematics.
