Welcome and Warm-up activity:
6:30-6:40.
-Attendees will be admitted to the general Zoom room. After a brief introductory speech/rules review (Kathleen Jenne), they will be directed to their individual breakout rooms (Autumn Einiski) for warm-ups with their team leaders (APO Volunteers.)

Let’s head to space!-Rocket and Helicopter Challenges

(Students can choose which to make. If time permits, they may make both. After assembly, they should attempt to make them fly. APO Volunteers should challenge them to experiment. You can ask the students to see if dropping them from different heights changes their speed, etc.)

(APO Volunteers should choose which of the two challenges they wish to do with the group. They may do the other as well should time permit. Do not forget to question students about their observations.)

The Missing Tiger: A Sherlock Holmes Virtual Escape Room
A rare Sumatran tiger has escaped from the London Zoo! Professor Stamford, President of the Zoological Society of London, calls for Sherlock Holmes to help track down the missing cat. Since time is of the essence, Holmes requests your assistance.
Wrap-up/Dismissal: 7:55-8:00 pm
Regroup, thank them for coming, remind them of where they can find other activities and directions, dismissal. (Kathleen Jenne)
NOTES
If a group needs more time as we approach dismissal, that is fine. If it is okay with their parents and the leader does not mind, they can get extra time. Just let Kathleen and Autumn know.
Not all kids feel comfortable being on camera or interacting, especially with kids they may not know. Others are extremely extroverted and will want to chat the whole time. Remind them to mute (and the room leader should mute all!) and raise their hands if they want to share. If the group is small, you may choose to let them unmute. We are here to have fun but remind them at the start that if they wouldn’t say something in front of the principal, don’t say it here either! All participants should have a parent or guardian with them.
