Grant Information
Alpha Delta Kappa is an International Organization of Women Educators. The Virginia Zeta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa may award up to one thousand dollars annually in grants to one or more female educators in the Richmond, Virginia area who strive for excellence in education. The grant will provide the recipient(s) with funds to purchase instructional materials, other resources or professional development opportunities.
ELIGIBILITY
Be a female educator in the Richmond, Virginia area.
Show excellence in the field of education through dedication, collaboration, innovation and knowledge of best practices.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Complete the required application via Grant Application Google Form - specifying:
Funds requested
Rationale
School community (student, staff, community)
Submit a professional reference via the Reference Google Form
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Completed applications, documentation, and reference form must be submitted no later than March 31, 2026.
The application will be evaluated by the Virginia Zeta Chapter Grant Committee.
All applicants will be notified by May 15, 2026.
The educator(s) selected to receive a grant will be personally presented with the award at our June 5, 2025 chapter meeting. More information to follow when notified.
Awardees will be asked to share with the chapter the impact of the related work at a future chapter meeting.
