vawongsir graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts of Hong Kong Baptist University. He was a visual arts teacher in Hong Kong and create political comics.  After the implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law in 2020, his works were complained by an anonymous person for drawing inappropriate comics online, and his serving school did not renew his teaching position contract after being found guilty of professional misconduct by the Education Bureau. The mainland Chinese media also criticized his work, accusing him of insulting the Hong Kong government. In 2022, vawongsir was exiled to Taiwan. He is now studying at the Graduate Institute of Trans-disciplinary Arts of Taipei National University of the Arts. He has held personal and joint art exhibitions in Hong Kong, Dublin, London, Sweden, and Taiwan.

vawongsir畢業於香港浸會大學視覺藝術院，曾任香港中學視覺藝術科教師，業餘創作政治漫畫。2020年港區國安法生效後，香港政府認為他的作品涉及反政府題材，教育局以此裁定他專業失德，並讓他失去了教職。此外，中國大陸媒體對他的作品進行抨擊，聲稱他煽動仇恨情緒。2022年，vawongsir被迫流亡到台灣，現就讀國立台北藝術大學跨領域研究所。出版插畫集有《假如讓我畫下去》、《我在老地方等你》；曾在香港、都柏林、倫敦、瑞典、台灣等地舉行個人及聯合作品展。
