Have a math binder/notebook. If you can print all the notes, it would help you very much! It is cheaper to print them at office max (around $20) than a home printer, but either will do. Do the extra practice that's in the notes.
Attend all classes and participate.
Show your work. Even if you can do it in your head, SHOW YOUR WORK. Everything in math builds to a harder skill. Eventually you will get to a point where you can no longer do it in your head.
Example: Students can often do one step equations in their head, but then will need to know the steps for two step and multi-step equations.
Do everything that you are requested to do!
Attend office hours if you need extra help.
